The tropical jungles of Nepal’s Terai preserve some of the best wildlife habitats of South Asia. Some of the wildlife attractions of Nepal’s jungles include the rare one-horned rhinoceros, the elusive Royal Bengal tiger, snow leopard, red panda and musk deer. It best suits especially to those who wish to explore the endangered animals, birds, diverse flora, and fauna, Nepal is no doubt a heaven for such sports. You can simply walk a day or two; stroll around the bush with elephant back, bird-watching and have many more of such recreation activities in the strategic areas across Nepal.

There are altogether 9-national parks, 4-wildlife reserves, and three-conservation area. These protected areas cover some 20 percent of the total lands in Nepal. Of these parks, namely Royal Chitwan National Park, Parsa Wildlife Reserve, Royal Bardia National Park, and Royal Shukla Phanta wildlife reserve offer jungle safari on elephant back or jeep rides.
