Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking

Ghorepani Poon hill trekking is one of the famous trekking route in Nepal for both tea house and camping treks. Ghorepani trek offers a wonderful opportunity to witness the beauty of the Annapurna region with a shorter trek. This place is rich of the hidden treasure of Nepalese culture and tradition. During the trek the trail passes through world's famous 'the Gorkha warrior' clan the Gurung and Magar's charming village, dense rhododendron (Nepalese national flower), Oak forest full of birds, green hills and patchwork valleys. Just about every angle is a tantalizing glimpse of Mt. Fishtail (6,993m,) Annapurna (8,091m) and Dhaulagiri (8,167) range on the initial part of the tour is breathtaking. On an excursion to Pun Hill one can observe the entire mountain ranges; covering red and pink rays of the Sun in full bloom at the Sunset and Sunrise. Rewarding treks that can be enjoyed by every lover of nature in ghorepani poon hill trekking.
 
 

Day to day itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1300m)
 
Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m), transfer Hotel, short  trekking briefing with officially arrangements. Overnight at Kathmandu guest house.
 
Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara (900 m) by airplane it takes 25 min. Or by tourist bus about 6-7 hours driving
 
Day 03: Drive to Nayapul about (1 hour) and trek to Tikhedunga (1,570m) 3-4 hours walking
 
Our trek began from Nayapul after a 1-hour drive on a private vehicle from Pokhara. After a short 15-minute walk along the banks of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1,015m) a large village with many shops and teahouses. Then start trek to Tikhedhunga. Stay overnight in Lodge.
 
Day 04: Tikhedunga to Ghorepani (2,840m) about  5-6 hours walking
 
Today our trek starts long uphill with steeply ascends on the long stone steps to Ulleri village with the amazing landscape and such a beautiful Rhododendron forest. You can enjoy the fantastic views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayan range after a few hours of walk from Banthanti. The natural beauty over this place is admirable. Ghorepani is also one of the most popular viewpoints in Nepal. Stay overnight in Lodge.
 
DAY 05: Ghorepani to Tadapani (2675m) about 6 hours walking 
 
Today early in the morning we climb up to Poonhill (3210m) see the panoramic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Thukche Peak, Nilgiri, Varaha Shikhar Machhapuchhare (Mt. Fishtail), Lamjung Himalayan ranges as well as sunrise over the numerous snow capped Mountains. And come back down to a hotel and get the things and walk to Tadapani. Stay overnight in Lodge.
 
Day 06: Tadapani  to Ghandruk (1990m) about 3-4 hours walking
 
From Tadapani the trail descends through forests to Ghandruk, a village of Gurung people, one of the ethnic groups of Nepal. They have their own dialect, culture, costume, and life style. Ghandruk is also home to many Gurkha soldiers. You can also visit the local museum as well as a monastery. Stay overnight in Lodge.
 
Day 07: Ghandruk to Pokhara, 5-6 hours walking
 
After a great time in Ghandruck Village you are descending Pokhara via Birethanti this is our last trek at Nayapul. After Nayapul to Pokhara it takes 1 hour driving. Stay overnight at Hotel.
 
Day 08: Pokhara city tour
 
Early morning we wake up and drive to Sarangkot to see for the sunrise and a view of the Himalayas. Sight-seeing half day in Pokhara Valley. Spend few hours in Lakeside and go for one hour boating in Phewa Lake. Stay Overnight at hotel.
 
Day 09: Drive back to Kathmandu (1,345m)
 
By tourist bus about 6 -7 hours driving or fly back to Kathmandu by airplane about 25 min (as your choice) (If we prefer Airplane then we can visit Kathmandu city tour same day and we save one day more). In the evening we will have a farewell dinner in a traditional Nepalese restaurant with cultural performances.
 
Day 10: in Kathmandu city tour and shoping
 
Day 11: Depart from Kathmandu
 
Note: If you have more time to stay in Nepal, we will arrange you accordingly such as a Chitwan jungle safari tour, Lumbini, Pokhara, Nagarkot tour, Rafting etc.
